If you are a bigger person I would suggest Delta Airlines as Spirit Airlines can be very uncomfortable for bigger people and this is not ideal on long flights. Also, make sure that you try to book your flights as early as possible to save more money as price increases usually happen near flight dates.
The next major cost in traveling is hotel costs. Thankfully we live in an age where you have many other options than just hotels. In my opinion, the best alternative to save money is Air Bed N Breakfast (Airbnb). I have found that on average Airbnb is much cheaper than hotels in popular destinations. On Airbnb you have the option to choose from either a private room, a shared room, or an entire home. So if you are traveling by yourself for just a few days and don’t mind a little company you can save a lot of money.
If you find yourself needing a rental car for your trip, make sure you check with your auto insurance company first. Many auto insurance companies are partnered with certain car rental companies so that you can rent cars at a greatly discounted rate. If your insurance company does not offer any discounts I would suggest downloading a mobile application called Turo. Turo is essentially the Airbnb for car rentals. In certain cases, Turo can be more expensive than a normal rental agency but it mainly depends on the type of car you rent.
